Who We Are

Harmony Nexus Hub CIC is a nonprofit community interest company based in Birmingham, committed to fostering meaningful integration, mutual understanding, and cultural cohesion, especially among the migrant communities in the West Midlands. We serve as a trusted voice, bridge, and support system for individuals and families navigating the complexities of modern British life while maintaining their cultural heritage.

Our Vision

To build a thriving, inclusive society in which every individual, regardless of background can contribute to and benefit from safe, connected, and culturally aware communities.

Our Mission

To reduce social isolation, promote civic participation, improve access to services, and amplify the voices of underrepresented communities, primarily migrant, through culturally sensitive programs, public awareness, and advocacy.

Why We Exist

Despite the significant migrant presence in the West Midlands, many individuals face barriers to accessing vital public services. These include language obstacles, lack of culturally informed outreach, and limited engagement with institutions such as:

This gap contributes to a cycle of marginalisation, misunderstanding, and social challenges that affect families, youth, and individuals. Harmony Nexus Hub CIC exists to bridge that divide.

What We Do

Youth Empowerment & Crime Prevention

Young people in our communities face a complex mix of challenges including:

Substance misuse
Gang affiliation
Radicalisation
Academic exclusion
Mental health struggles

We work closely with schools, families, local authorities, and youth-focused partners to offer mentorship, positive role models, diversion programs, and resilience-building activities.

Awareness & Education Campaigns

Social issues such as domestic violence, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), forced marriage, and cultural restrictions often go unreported due to stigma or lack of culturally appropriate intervention. Harmony Nexus Hub CIC is committed to:

Breaking the silence through education and safe conversations
Promoting law abidance and awareness of rights
Supporting survivors with referral pathways and advocacy

Advocacy & Culture

We actively promote intercultural understanding by encouraging open dialogue between communities and service providers. Through workshops, forums, and community events, we educate both sides, institutions and individuals to foster mutual respect and informed engagement.

Language & Access Support

We recognize the critical importance of language in accessing services and feeling empowered. Our team provides multilingual support, translation, and culturally relevant communication to ensure every voice is heard and understood.

Celebrating Culture & Identity

We embrace the rich heritage of Africa through events, storytelling, and arts-based activities that instill pride, preserve identity, and promote community healing.

Elders Connect Club

A safe haven elderly members of our communities get together in a warm and non-judgmental space. Our Elders Club will provide weekly group activities, befriending support, and social outings for older people in Birmingham who are at risk of loneliness and isolation. #cupoftea and a bikkie
